Join artist and designer Geraldo (“G”) for a fun, beginner-friendly morning of practical hand sewing, good music, snacks, conversation, and learning the kind of sewing basics everyone wishes they knew.

Join us for an extended happy hour with music, sweets, and a dance floor that starts early and doesn’t take itself too seriously. Come dance with Cookies and Karim – two DJs face-to-face, trading tracks live to bring the vibe.  After, go support our amazing downtown spots…or head home, take your supplements, and be in bed by 9. Either way, you’re still a rockstar.

Many of us were taught about menstruation and motherhood, but almost nothing about the hormonal transitions that follow. Perimenopause and menopause have too often been surrounded by silence, leaving women to navigate significant physical and emotional changes alone. Let’s Talk Hormones: What No One Told Us was created to change that by offering a welcoming, judgment-free space to explore these transitions with honesty and clarity through a screening of The M Factor and a guided conversation. Attendees left with a clearer understanding of their bodies, reassurance that they are not alone, and the confidence to ask informed questions. We also collected a generous amount of period care donations for the Ocala Clothing Swap, extending the impact of the event further into our community. We’re excited to continue creating more conversations and future events around this important topic.

It was an honor for the LILAC Foundation to sponsor Savor the Arts: A Farm to Table Dinner & Art Experience, an evening that brought together community, creativity, and connection at the fifth generation Rogers Family Farm. As one of our key pillars, Arts in Health Ocala Metro (AIHOM) reflects our commitment to expanding access to the arts and supporting wellness through creative expression. We raised $23,796.78 for AIHOM thanks to the incredible support of those who attended. This event beautifully reflected our commitment to investing in initiatives that foster healing, opportunity, and stronger futures for individuals and communities alike.

We were thrilled to host XOXO: A Galentine’s Celebration at the Marion Cultural Alliance, bringing our community together for an evening of joy, connection, and creative expression. We raised $1,098.12 for the Marion Cultural Alliance (MCA) through the generosity of our community to support local arts programming. This event was created to foster a space where everyone feels welcome to show up as they are, connect with others, and experience the arts in an accessible, uplifting way—because when people feel seen, supported, and inspired, stronger and more vibrant communities can grow. The music from DJ Karim, signature cocktails from Mojos, and exciting moments captured by photographer Barbara Jean, all came together as a true reflection of the unity and spirit of our community.
